Someone rich and famous has said that for a strong media presence, you should be able to describe yourself in five words. My self description for years has been: Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter of the Most High God. But a five single word description is quite a challenge. So, here goes:
Hello. My name is Renee Floyd. I am a writer, artist, collector, creator, student. I am a writer because I pen this blog, journal, have had another blog for several years (Just Passin’ Thru), and have words and thoughts in my mind that need to get out. I am an artist because I draw in my Bible and am in the process of fulfilling my learning to watercolor bucket list. I am a collector because my favorite shopping places are garage sales, thrift stores, flea markets, and sometimes dumpsters. I am a creator because I can sew, cook, refurbish furniture, and re-purpose rusty junk. I am a student of the Word of God, healthy eating, watercolor, things I don’t understand, and your story.
The King and I live in dry dusty West Texas. We have been married 46 years and have been junkin’ even longer. We have an amazing daughter who has inherited more of our junk-loving traits than her patient husband ever dreamed he would be living with. They have given us two beautiful teenage grandchildren.
As a disclaimer, my grammar is rusty, my projects sometimes look better in my head, and I believe a recipe is just a suggestion.
